This is the story of two young men who left Medina for a trip to Turkey. Their goal was to enjoy alcohol and youth like other young men like them and have fun.
As soon as they reached Istanbul, like the Nadeeds, they first bought some food and drinks, as well as bottles of their first choice, and took a taxi to the hotel. They chose a hotel on the outskirts of the city where no one would see them.
As soon as the clerk found out that the two had come from Medina, he opened a suite for them at the normal room rate. His joy was evident that the people of Medina had come to his hotel.
The two reached the room and just opened the bottles and sat down to pour them into their stomachs. One turned out to be a little drunk and fell asleep in no time, while the other, half-drunk, left the remaining bottles for tomorrow and went to sleep. They must have been asleep for a while when someone knocked on the door.
It was 4:30 in the morning, one of them woke up in a daze and opened the door, and the counter clerk was standing in front. He said that our Imam of the mosque, knowing that two men from Medina Sharif had come and stayed in the hotel, had refused to lead the prayer, saying that he could not do such a disrespect. We are waiting for you in the mosque, you should get ready and come quickly.
Hearing this, the young man was shocked, he quickly woke up his other companion and told him that the situation had become like this. Do you remember anything from the Holy Quran?
The other companion said, yes, I remember the Holy Quran, but I have not thought of leading the people, and I will not do so. Both of them sat down with their heads together and began to think about how to get rid of this trouble that had befallen them.
In the meantime, there was another knock on the door; The counter clerk was saying, "Brothers, hurry up, we are waiting for you in the mosque, so that we don't miss the prayer." One after the other, they ran and took a bath, got ready quickly and reached the mosque. What do you see? The mosque was full of worshippers. It seemed that it was not for the Fajr prayer, but for the Friday prayer, following the princes of Medina Sharif. A young man says, "I climbed the prayer platform, said Allahu Akbar, and recited Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabb Al-'Aalameen in a stammering voice." One of the worshippers let out a sob at the thought that a man from Medina, the beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), was leading them in prayer. Then, the bonds of restraint of many broke. He says, "The crying of the worshippers increased my regret, so much so that I also cried. After Surah Al-Fatiha, I recited only Surah Al-Ikhlas, but with all my sincerity." The prayer ended, the worshippers came forward to shake my hand and many were even hugging me with excessive love. I was standing with my head bowed, taking stock of myself. Allah bestowed His grace upon me and this incident became the cause of my guidance.
