King Bahram of Persia was famous for hunting. One day, he went out for hunting and saw a wild donkey. So he ran after it until the king got separated from his army. But he succeeded in catching the prey. He got down from his horse to slaughter the prey and saw a shepherd coming from the forest.
The king said:
"O shepherd, hold this horse so that I may slaughter this donkey. He held it and then he was busy slaughtering the donkey."
"O shepherd, hold my horse so that I may slaughter this donkey." So he held the horse and the king became busy slaughtering the donkey."
But King Bahram also kept an eye on the horse and saw that the shepherd:
"Yaqtul Juhurah fi Azra Farsa"
"He is cutting a pearl from the neck of this horse."
So Bahram turned his attention to the other side, ignoring him, until the shepherd cut the pearl.
King Bahram said:
"Looking at a flaw is also a flaw, then he mounted his horse and went with his army to meet him." His minister asked the king:
"O King, where is the pearl around your horse's neck?"
The king smiled and said: "He who has taken the pearl will not return it. And he who has seen it will not mention its name. And whoever among you sees the pearl with anyone should not quarrel with him.
The eye of the one who finds flaws is the eye of the one who is flawed. Those who have good eyes see perfection and talent.
